I cannot believe this is the last week of classes. We had our final EdTech class on Monday and I have gotten the chance to reflect on the course. I did not know how many amazing recourses were out there for education. Sources to create visuals such as google slides, a source to look into different educational tools (Common Sense Education), and the various tools that can make learning accessible to every student. Before this class I felt very anxious about technology and that I would be unable to use it the best I could. Although that anxiety has not fully gone away, I do feel a bit more confident in my abilities and about being able to figure it out. There are tutorials on how to do almost anything nowadays, so I know that I will be able to figure things out. Michael has also generously let us know that we can contact him in the future with any questions. I have appreciated his eagerness to help and his passion to share his knowledge. I never thought that I would be able to make nice looking videos, slides, or ever run my own website, yet here I am! I do believe that technology will only become more embedded into education in the future, so this course provided a great opportunity for us to dip our toes into the endless possibilities. I am excited to take all of the information I have learned and use it in my classroom!
